Arriving in ATLANTA!

We left Minneapolis early this morning (8am flight) on Spirit Airlines.  I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and quality of this 'budget' ($90/ rt!!) fare.  We made sure to pack lots of snacks in our backpacks, and didn't even miss the 'complimentary' drinks offered on Delta! The kids also enjoyed the 'plane-train' in the ATL airport-- it added an extra layer of excitement and adventure to the morning.

After checking in to the hotel (see reactions below), we cleaned up and headed straight to the GA Aquarium.

After our visit last January, the kids were SUPER excited to introduce Taylynn to the whale sharks.
"Awesome "is the exact word for this moment!

They were amazing, but we also got to check out a dolphin show, a sea lion show (where the pre-show animatronics were Disney-level!), and wander around all the other exhibits.  It was late by the time we got back to the hotel, and we were all ready for a good nights' rest.

Justin bravely petting the Epaulette Shark.  Tay considered briefly......and decided to save that particular experience for a time later in life.
Our first hotel night went fairly well, even considering the fact that the homeopathic 'sleep spray' that Taylynn's mom and I were so excited about was a huge bust.  I sprayed everyone's pillows and got ready to settle down when all THREE kids started complaining about the smell!!   (For the record: I love it).  We flipped our pillows and went to sleep.
