Setting up Camp.... at Walt Disney World!

Soooo..... it was time to contine the Great Roadschooling Trip of 2016!  We kidnapped Auntie Rorie and took off from Vero Beach early in the morning in order to make it to an 11am brunch at Chef Mickey's (the character breakfast at the Contemporary Resort--- the one with the MONORAIL running through it!).  We dropped Kolachi back at Best Friends boarding and made it to breakfast just in time.  To say Justin was a bit excited to see the monorails zoom past every few minutes is an understatement.

Breakfast offerings were quite good, for a buffet!  We all enjoyed sampling a large assortment of desserts, of course--

The 'fab 5' all came around for a visit-- the kids worked on getting their race shirts autographed by all.  Justin was still a bit hesitant to pose with most of the characters (and Donald Duck was absolutely spot-on hilarious this morning-- he kept vamping it up for the table of ladies next to us and we got to enjoy all the laughs along with them!).

Minnie was as sweet as could be---

Justin DID agree to pose with his FAVORITE character-- Pluto!  We were all surprised when he popped up to give the loveable pup a big hug and pose for a photo.
After our bellies were full to the brim, we checked into our campsite at Ft. Wilderness.  The weather was perfect for working together to get our tent set up!  The campsites are very, VERY nice.  They are all beautifully mapped out so everyone gets a nice, flat spot to set up.  The surrounding trees provided a nice visual break (you wouldn't know there were 200,000 other campers around ;-).  The bathrooms were out of this world clean and secure (you have to use a magic band to get in).  I'd come back here in a heartbeat!!!

All set up and ready to relax for a bit before dinner!

The kids had fun playing in the campground and making fairy nests and crowns with all the air plants.
The campground is ENORMOUS (so much so that they have three separate bus lines running through it!).  We figured out the lay of the land and made it to a delicious buffet dinner at Trail's End Cafe.  Then we worked our way to the (complementary) nightly campfire sing-along with Chip and Dale!  What a fantastic way to end our first night here :-)
