Roadschooling Adventure: Day 1..... sans kids

So, in order for you to get the entire experience of our January Roadschool adventure, I must begin at the beginning.  In order to include Kolachi on our family vacation, I decided it would be a fun idea to drive back and forth to Florida this year.  The kids got a one-way reprieve, as they flew down with Daddy.  Rorie, being the wonderful sister she is, volunteered to by my road trip buddy and kept me entertained the two-day trip down.  We started off the evening of Jan 4th and made it to Des Moines, where we stayed overnight and switched out vehicles.  My dad volunteered to let us take his Suburban to and from Florida, as there was a little more room in (and on top) of it.  Thank you SO MUCH, Dad!
We were pretty much just pounding it out that first day.  Lots and lots of music, a little silliness and a stop at the AKC Museum of the Dog in St. Louis to stretch all of our legs.  Kolachi was welcome to come inside and check out the exhibits with us (greatly appreciated!).  She even 'signed' the guest book.

After taking in some culture, we had to stop at Seoul Taco in St. Louis for some sustenance.

And snuggled into our  hotel room in Murfreesboro, Tennesee for some sleep before starting again in the morning.
