Dec 4: Children's Theater and Art Institute

Since the MN Children's theater connects to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, we had an entire day before us.  The kids and I attended The Grinch Who Stole Christmas as our Advent activity of the day.  We got awesome tickets (for awesome prices) through our homeschool group.  I was a bit worried that it would be too intense for Justin (and parts of it were), but overall he enjoyed it.  It definitely helped that he had his ear protection to give him that little comfortable buffer.

After the show, we enjoyed our picnic lunch at the museum cafe.

Then it was off to explore.  Normally we start in the Classical collections, so today we went to the Modern wing.  Alex appreciated Magritte (this isn't my favorite, but it's still pretty cool).

My car guy really likes the Tatra.
We also wandered around the Japanese art collection for a while.  Then we were about done.  It had been a busy day.
